Chef Adam Rosenblum, is a co-owner and chef of several restaurants in San Francisco, including Causwells, a neighborhood American restaurant in the Marina District, that is infamous for its Americana Burger.
Raised in Maryland, Adam developed a passion for cooking at a young age and pursued it through culinary school at CIA, and at various positions in the restaurant industry across the country. Displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Adam opened his first restaurant in Arkansas, taught culinary students, and consulted for restaurants. He eventually landed in San Francisco as sous chef at Flour and Water before opening his own restaurants. (Steph’s note: Check out the Flour & Water episode too!)
In this conversation, we learn about Adam’s culinary journey and philosophy, Causwell’s recent reopening and his vision for the restaurant, how the burger came to be, and his on-going partnership with Elmer Mejicanos.
